

Russian Embassy
One of the most opulent and largest palaces, which at the very beginning of the 20th century announced the growth of Cetinje into a modern town, was the building of the Russian Embassy, built by the project of the Italian architect August Cesare Corradini, in cooperation with his assistant Benedetti.

The magnificent building of over 3,500 square meters, with elements of late Russian Baroque, Neoclassicism and Art Nouveau, was completed in 1903. The Russian mission has operated in it until 1916, and after that it has been used for the needs of school for teachers, children's hospital, the Faculty of Culture and the Faculty of Fine Arts. Today, adapted and revitalized after the big fire, this representative building is planned for the needs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro. It is a first-class architectural heritage monument.
